BRODIX Cylinder Heads
350 chevy bored 60 over with 400 crank 388?
I was wandering if anyone knew if my combination was good or not as i stated i have a 350 bored over 60 with a 400 crank which strokes it to a 388 it has stock length rods has forged aluminum flat top pistons & a solid roller 630 lift cam upper end has dart iron eagle 49cc platinum heads also have a brodix intake with a 750 double pumper.i know with the heads i have and the pistons i have im runnin about 14.1 compression someone have any ideas about what would make this a bad combination give me an answer
Good combo if it's pure race only, trailered to track, filled with 115 octane race fuel.
No where near running on pump gas
14:1 compression even with one of the biggest cams out there aint gonna run on 93 octane or lower.. It will ping it's self to death trying. Detontaion is a very bad thing.
Sounds like it's an upper rpm engine. If thats the case the iron eagle heads will be your bottle neck. They are only 180cc intake runner.
A 388 at 14:1 compression with a cam around that size will make it's power in the 4000 -7500 rpm range..
Those heads will choke it at 58000 rpm or less
388 like that needs a min of 200cc runners, max of 220cc.
Plus the iron eagles just don't move enough air.. Look at the flow charts on them vs canfeilds, brodix RR's, AFR's, even trickflows
Also to run that combo you'll need 4.10 gears min, and a 4000 stall min converter (if auto trans)

I run a four-speed manual transmission or an automatic best time and the others?
I have a 1969 Camaro 406 engine with dart a brodix ik210 heads, comp cam 600 lift hyd roller .10-5 project, super Victor Jr. intake, 850 Holley and a Muncie 4 speed with a team of 411 what kind quart mile time than I have. I change a manual or automatic transmission
Auto trans. would be best ... will be rebuilt to rapid changes and time will be faster than the manual. With all that I did with the car, I think you know what is the best.
