Connecting rod
Help with a mousetrap car design?
I have to build a mousetrap car for my science class. I have a below basic udnerstanding of how a car moves. But I do not know how to connect wheels to the frame of the car to make it move. If I am right, the axle is a rod that connects two wheels to make them move together. But I do not know how to connect two axles to the mousetrap to make it move. Can someone please "tell me with detail" of how I can build the wheel part, or chassis, to attach to my mousetrap? Please do not post websites because I have looked at many. It would be really helpful if you'd write step by step what I should do, unless you know of a website with step by step pictures.
To attach the axles to the body, you could use little "eye screws" (I don't know if that is the actual name). Instead of a regular head for the screw they have a circular "eye" through which you can put the axle. Screw the screw part into the body of the car--two eye screws in back and two in the front.
Some other ideas for success:
Put an extension on the snapper. This allows you to use a longer piece of string and it pulls slower and more evenly. A ruler, or maybe a bent piece of coat hanger would work.
Use CDs for all the wheels. Those work really well.
Make the car in advance of your due date and practice, practice, practice. That way you can see and correct any problems with the car.
Feel free to email me with questions. Hope you get an A!

How does the sound design and action customer
If you have spent a small fortune on designers, optimizers search engine, experts and even social networking site to find your conversions are low, then maybe your site is suffering the equivalent of marketing the illusion of Capgras, inability to establish a link between online content and emotional value proposition.
You not my wife
A woman phones her husband is in hospital after suffering a head injury. Man recognizes the voice of his wife when she told him to see one hour. An hour later you arrive at the hospital, enters the room and tries to kiss her forehead. The man looks up frightened his wife and said, "Who are you? "
The man recognizes the woman in front him as someone who looks like his wife, but he is fully convinced that he is a liar but he recognized the voice of his wife on the phone an hour earlier. This is a classic case of the Capgras delusion. The part of the brain responsible for visual recognition works well, but the party making the relationship between the occurrence of his wife and what she means to him emotionally shattered.
Without an emotional connection Marketing seems false
The brain consists of several systems that operate separately and in unison with the others. The mechanism the brain's emotional interpretation, the limbic system is what gives meaning to objects, images, sounds and people meet. Without this connection the emotional things have no meaning and, indeed, be considered false.
Observations of delusional Capgras patients show the fundamental meaning the ear is making sense of the world around us. Sound, it seems, is still a more important than sight in terms of making sense of what we do experience, one because the website owners and marketers should consider in developing a video presentation on Web or branding effort.
Sound: The Final Frontier
Sound is essential to our survival as a species and our successful performance as creatures common in both our private and professional life. Sound is one of the most complex and less marketing understood, but at the same time is probably the most important, especially when combined with video images.
Julian Treasure audio expert, says that the noise affects an audience of four fundamental ways: physiological, psychological, cognitive and behavioral.
Music images paint mental emotional, even without the help of visual stimuli. The noise of the fire, filter coffee, a baby crying or a woman screaming and associations evoked vivid images in our minds and fills us with emotional responses. The sound of thunder sent us from evil to cover. The rhythmic beat of a song is our favorite stomping and bopping our heads. The sound of a catchy jingle food Fast has our mouths watering, the creation of an immediate desire for a burger and fries. The rhythmic recital of the alphabet helps children Remember your ABC. And so on.
The sound can your heart beat with excitement or a slow gentle meditative state. The sound may remind you of things you love, release of endorphins and the will to pursue the object of attraction. Sound can inform, enlighten and educate. The rational use judiciously video on your website or in your place of business, and communicate, influence and persuade, abuse it and send your prospects to run for exits or by clicking the site of its competitor without hesitation seconds.
Sound Tools
We associate the sound with the entertainment, but for sellers is a tool used to convert prospects into customers. When someone comes to your website are at least for a while, a captive audience and attentive. If your goal is to maximize the impact must use every tool available, which means that both visual and sound.
Voice
The sound of the human voice is the marketing tool they sound louder have at their disposal. The ability to control the tonal quality, pitch, rhythm and phrasing is unparalleled as a means to provide meaningful communication, marketing memorable. The sound is the basis of experience and nothing is as capable of change, the infinite nuance and meaning that the human voice.
If you pay attention to TV commercials, which recognizes the voice of many businesses associated with the brands: Gene Hackman, Kevin Spacey, Sam Elliot, Keifer Sutherland, John O'Hurley, the list goes on. Those who are old enough to remember the original 7-Up ads Uncola of 1970 recalls the distinctive sound Geoffrey Holder, or only reduce the phrasing and cadence of the final in 1950, Rod Serling Twilight Zone. " Do people still remember the TV program classics like the original "Prisoner" and "Dragnet" without the sounds of Patrick McGoohan and ringing ears from Jack Webb? Remakes and suites only not work without electricity, the presence and impact of distinctive original voices.
Music
The Music has always been a central and important to people's lives. You have to think any more than the notion of "Our Song", a musical of how two people feel about each other. Each generation has their sound, their musical heroes, and a play-list in their lives. Smart brands know how use music to create an emotional context and unforgettable experiences. There is no reason why small companies can not do the same.
In an effort to promote radio advertising Bob McCurdy has created a web page presentation of "The Power of Sound" to introduce people to some major influences of sound in a commercial context. In his presentation McCurdy mentioned many examples, including an article by Adrian C. North, David J. Hargreaves and Jennifer McKendrick was presented in the Journal of Applied Psychology. The example describes how sound can influence potential customers, when the music French and German was played on alternate days during a presentation of wines in the store, sales of French wine outsold German wine at the time when French music was played, the reverse is true in the days when German music was played.
In another example McCurdy refers to an article written by Adrian C. North, Amber and David J. Shilcock Hargreaves under "Environment and behavior." It explains how classical music played in a British restaurant has led to greater expenditure table for customers from the time pop music was played or not.
Rate
Truer words have not spoken or sung in this case, when Gloria Estefan sang "The rhythm is gonna get." Seeing the crowd with a video of his concert shows how the public moves in response synchronized the rhythm of a form of telepathy, a phenomenon that describes the brain's ability to synchronize the cycles of clean power to external sensory stimulation rhythm.
Trawling is a natural phenomenon in nature and was discovered in 1656 by Christian Huygens, who discovered the pendulum in a room full of clocks are all synchronized at the same rate, while all first started swinging at different rates. In his article "The effects of lullabies," Johannes Kneutgen describes how a baby breath, respond to rhythmic music. As the brain waves the sound waves in the strike of cycles per second is easy to see how the phenomenon of drag can have a fundamental way of thinking and reacting to rhythmic stimulation.
Context
Slideshow Bob McCurdy "The power of sound", describes how in the years 1970, IBM has worked to eliminate the sound of their new electric typewriters in an attempt to provide a better working environment, but the effort had a negative effect. IBM had to add an electronic sound of typewriters and typists found the silence unnerving. The rhythmic sound assured that operators of the task and achieve something and typewriters were working properly.
A team of engineers led by consultant Nissan music, Toshiyuki Tabata, had to create an artificial high-pitched sound similar to flying cars in "Blade Runner", a film by its new hybrid, like the silent operation of hybrid drivers felt that something was missing. And indeed, the car was silence a potential hazard to traffic vehicles and pedestrians could not hear what's coming. Similarly, when the casino in Las Vegas, Bellagio, tried to eliminate the noise irritant made by the slot machines, revenue decreased by slot machines, forcing them to familiar sound effects back in the machines.
We are surrounded by sounds that alert us to reference and comfort, without which it would lose much of the information context, we need to operate effectively on a daily basis. Large firms use sound design to create the differentiation of mental references for their products and brands ranging from signature sound of how the closed doors of different cars, the unique sound of the crisis in different breakfast cereals.
Sound Effects
McCurdy report quotes a psychologist Shuldiner grass engine Affairs "about Britain David Moxon, who found his Maserati engine more and more women than men, although women who have no interest in cars before. An observation that should not have Mazda escaped when they created the "zoom zoom" campaign. Perhaps no guy wants to get rid of the thing zip suburban truck with a little more to take his wife with a Maserati.
People react instinctively to the sound, a phenomenon known as "orientation reflex "was first described by Ivan Sechenov, Russian physiologist, in" Reflections on the brain "of his book in 1863 and later appointed by Ivan Pavlov, famous for its stimulus-response work with dogs, such as "What is it? "Reflex.
The sound effects are the symbols of our lives, but to attract attention, generate interest, stimulate emotions, and create the desire.
Conclusion
The power of sound is an essential tool in the effort of a seller to communicate, influence and persuade an audience, and it is not that what your site is supposed to do?
